CHEDDAR PERRON
Fromagerie Perron
Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean
Firm, rindless cheese with a hazelnut aroma and a flavour that intensifies with age. Cheddar Perron is an authentic traditional product from Quebec. It is ripened over long periods, from 9 months to 4 years (the Doyen). The original recipe of Cheddar Perron, which is made with whole milk, has remained unchanged since 1895. The Port Cheddar is very distinctive due to its surface ripening with a 10-year-old Port. All Cheddars Perron are all available from the cheese maker, in specialty grocery stores and cheese shops, and most supermarkets.
