Cheeses From Here Sampler Verrines
Ingredients
- 250 ml (1 cup) apple jam
- 250 ml (1 cup) black cherry jam
- 250 ml (1 cup) bell pepper jam, store-bought
- 100 g Le Rassembleu
- 150 g Comtomme
- 150 g Caprice des vents
- Wooden toothpicks
Preparation
Dice the cheeses.
Assemble 3 verrines per person in the following way:
Divide the apple jam into 4 verrines. Do the same thing for the remaining 2 jams.
Divide the Le Rassembleu cubes into the apple jam verrines.
Divide the Comtomme cubes into the bell pepper jam verrines.
Divide the Caprice des vents cubes into the black cherry jam verrines.
Serve with wooden toothpicks.
Apple jam
Ingredients
- 3 Cortland apples, peeled and diced
- 250 ml (1 cup) sugar
- 60 ml (1/4 cup) apple juice
- Juice and zest of a lemon
Preparation
Bring all ingredients to a boil. Let the mixture simmer for 1 hour, stirring from time to time until it reaches jam consistency. Let cool, and put in jars.
Black cherry jam
Ingredients
- 1 jar of Morello cherries, 540 ml (19 oz), store-bought
- 250 ml (1 cup) sugar
- Juice and zest of a lemon
Preparation
Bring all ingredients to a boil. Let the mixture simmer for 1 hour, stirring from time to time until it reaches jam consistency. Let cool, and put in jars.
