The first organic smoked Cheddar in Canada!

This lactose- and gluten-free firm organic cheese is made from unpasteurized milk without any modified milk ingredients or animal rennet added to it. It’s smoked with applewood using ancestral methods, which gives the interior its amber colour and well-liked hints of smoky flavour.

Try it in your next mushroom risotto or on your pizzas. It’ll be a delightful culinary discovery! This cheese also pairs well with a good beer.

In keeping with the traditional farming methods of our ancestors, the Fromagerie L’Ancêtre makes several varieties of Cheddar, young or aged, in regular, light, or even smoked versions! These nutritious cheeses are of the highest quality and have a natural, old-fashioned taste.

L’Ancêtre Le Boucané Bio is available from the cheese maker, at natural food stores, at specialty grocery stores and at supermarkets.
