The world’s first cheddar with 50% less salt!
Containing less than 0.5% lactose, this organic firm cheese is made with pasteurized milk. This half-salted cheddar contains only 85 mg of sodium per 30 g serving. It was baptized Le St-Grégoire after the name of the village where the cheese is made (a sector in the city of Bécancour).
Following traditional farming practices, L’Ancêtre makes a range of young and aged cheddars, in regular, light or smoked versions, and now a low-sodium version! Each product offers a nutritious cheese of the finest quality with an authentic, natural taste.
L’Ancêtre Le St-Grégoire is available from the cheese maker, at natural food stores, at specialty grocery stores and at supermarkets.
