Art Senau

Fromagerie du Pied-De-Vent

M.F. : 31% Moisture : 37%

This firm rindless farm cheese is made from pasteurized milk sourced from a single herd of Canadian cows living on the Îles-de-la-Madeleine. This cheddar features a buttery yellow surface that is shiny and smooth. A creamy texture in the mouth reveals notes of hazelnut and fruit.

The name “Art Senau” was suggested by a local resident. “Art” for the art of cheese making and “senau,” an old name given to sailing ships carrying cargo in the 18th to 20th centuries. The name is also a nod to the owners, the Arseneau family, who come from a long line of mariners.

Art Senau cheddar is currently available ONLY from the Fromagerie du Pied-De-Vent on Îles-de-la-Madeleine.
