This firm pressed farm cheese is made with thermized milk. It has a brushed rind, and is surface-ripened for over nine months. Its unique fabrication technique makes it an exceptional gourmet cheese that everyone likes. Its interior is pale yellow and covered with small, irregular holes, and its texture is slightly crumbly. The complexity and intensity of its salty roasted hazelnut flavour gives your palate an incomparable experience.

The Blackburn is available from the cheese maker, at specialty cheese shops and at IGA stores.

Word Cheese Awards 2016 silver medal winner and 2011 bronze medal winner, Any Other Semi-Soft Cow's Milk Cheese class (not in any other class).

2015 Canadian Cheese Grand Prix finalist, Washed- or Mixed-rind Firm Cheese category.
