Semi-soft
M.F. : 29% Moisture : 42%This semi-soft rindless cheese is made entirely with pasteurized milk from dairy farms in the Outaouais and contains no modified milk ingredients. This Brick-type cheese has a similar flavour to very mild Cheddar and tastes of fresh butter with a hint of hazelnut. The cheese is elastic and supple, and sometimes dotted with small holes. It is an easy-to-slice cheese that is perfect for sandwiches and cooked dishes.
Brick is an American cheese that was created in Wisconsin in 1877. The cheese takes its name from the fact that the cheese was pressed between bricks and because it’s shaped like a brick. The Brick’oleur La Trappe à Fromage is made using the traditional American method.
The Brick’oleur La Trappe à Fromage is available at any of the cheese maker’s seven locations, in Hull, Gatineau (2), Masson, Cantley, Aylmer and Val-des-Monts, as well as in grocery chains in the Outaouais region.
