This soft cheese with a bloomy rind is made of pasteurized milk and cream. As it ripens, its creamy interior becomes surrounded by a beautiful white cloud. Its buttery flavour is nicely complemented by the aroma of mushrooms in the rind. This incredibly mild cheese is sure to melt your heart.
Douceur du Témiscouata is currently available from the Fromagerie Le Détour and the Fromage en Tête shop in Rimouski. The cheese maker is planning to expand distribution in the near future.
