Ferme Vallée Verte Cheddar

Ferme Vallée Verte 1912

Lanaudière

Firm

M.F. : 34% Moisture : 39%

This firm, rindless farm cheese is made with the milk drawn directly from the family’s cow herd and pasteurized at a low temperature. Its texture is soft and slightly elastic. This Cheddar is made without colouring or preservatives, and its unmatched freshness and hints of butter and hazelnut make it hard to resist. The mild Cheddar is available in different size blocks or grated.

Here are the different varieties of Cheddar available:

  • Mild Cheddar
  • Chive Cheddar
  • Pepper Cheddar
  • Chili Pepper Cheddar
  • Beer Cheddar
  • Garlic Cheddar
  • Onion Cheddar
  • Tomato and Pepper Cheddar

Cheese Curds
The cheese maker also makes Cheddar curds. Tasty, smooth and always fresh, you’ll go wild over their texture and mild taste. They’re available in regular or chive flavour.

Having grown up and worked since they were young on the family farm, owners David and Samuel Gadoury have achieved their dream of using the milk from their cows to make fresh dairy products by founding the cheese maker Ferme Vallée Verte in 2013. Their dairy production is accredited by the Canadian Quality Milk Program. Because they care about the environment and providing their customers with superior-quality cheese, they practice sustainable farming without GMOs and treat their free range cows with the utmost respect.

These cheeses are available from the Ferme Vallée Verte 1912 cheese shop and in numerous local stores in the Lanaudire region and in Montreal. Please consult the cheese maker's web site for outlets.
