This firm, unripened cheese is made from pasteurized milk that comes mainly from farms in the Cantons-de-l’Est region. Each cheese curd is cream-coloured with a delicious taste of fresh milk and salted butter. With a distinctive texture that is much sought after, the cheese yields a satisfying squeak when you bite it.

The Fromagerie de Saint-Benoît-du-Lac couldn’t resist sharing a high quality cheese curd with their local clientele. 

The Fromage en grains de l’Abbaye is available from the cheese maker and from various grocery stores and convenience stores in the Cantons-de-l’Est region.
