Rindless and lactose-free, this firm Swiss-type cheese is made with pasteurized milk. The Swiss Perron features a mild hazelnut aroma, typical of Swiss cheese, and a mild flavour.

Built on high quality standards, the Fromagerie Perron has always pursued the mission of producing exceptional cheeses. Founded by Adélard Perron in 1890 and currently presided over by Jean-Marc Perron, its tradition of excellence has crossed four generations. The old Fromagerie Perron building, adjacent to the current one, was classified national cultural property and a historical monument. It is now known as the Musée du Cheddar.

The Swiss Perron is available from the cheese maker, in specialized grocery stores and cheese shops and in most supermarkets.

Awards and distinctions

British Empire Cheese Show 1st prize winner in 2016, 3rd prize winner in 2015 and 2014, as well as 2nd prize winner in 2004, Swiss-type Cheese class.

2016 3rd prize winner at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair competition, Swiss Cheese class.

2004 Festival des fromages de Warwick Prix du public award, in its class.
