This firm, blue-veined farm cheese with Penicillium rocqueforti is made with pasteurized milk from Ayrshire cows at the 3J Dairy Farm. It’s a mild blue that offers a delicious mushroom taste with an anise finish.
A distinctive rock found on the farm grounds, transported there by the glaciers of the Blue Sea, inspired the cheese’s name. Stromatolites containing fossils dating back 3.5 billion years can even be found there!
Roc Bleu des 3J is available at the cheese dairy, in most Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean's specialty shops and food markets, as well as in some specialty stores accross the province.
