Fromagerie Alexis de Portneuf – Saint-Raymond

This soft cheese with a bloomy rind is made from pasteurized milk and cream. This triple-cream Brie has a creamy texture, and its delicate flavour is skillfully wedded to a rich composition.

The beloved priest of a small village in the Portneuf region was about to retire. As thanks for his dedication to the community, the villagers asked the cheese maker to create a product in his honour. That is how this exceptional cheese was born. 

Saint-Honoré cheese is available from the cheese maker, at specialty grocery stores and cheese shops, and in most supermarkets.

2016 American Cheese Society competition 3rd prize winner, Triple Crème Soft Ripened Cheese class.
